Another girl at my H.S. who was 16 was upset because her ex boyfriend liked me (he was 15 and I was 14 about to be 15.))and we were starting to hang out. She was jealous and was trying to get him back. She got him to have sex and then told me all the details. I quit seeing him and was humiliated. She laughed about it and told others. We had a few words and left it at that. A few months later one of my girlfriends starting hanging out with her ex and again the older girl did the same thing. This time she text my friend the details of her doings adding that he would always come back to her for sex. The older girl & her friends would say mean things to us at school and post mean things on twitter for everyone to read and finally I ask her if we could talk. We met in the hallway between classes and before I could say anything she was in my face shaking her finger at me saying she slept with him when he was trying to see me and then she slept with him when he was trying to see my other friend and he would always come back to her because they had sex and we don’t give it up. (Before we met she twitted at school “Talk . . . . get hit, you know who you are.” I didn’t know about this post until afterwards)She went on and on and I asked her to back off out of my face and she just kept getting closer, yelling at my face so I pushed her away. Then she pushed me really hard and I reacted by throwing a punch and hit her in the eye. I don’t even remember doing it. I was stunned when I realized that I actually hit her. I ran away because I feared the three others girls with her would jump on me. Her eye swelled up really bad and was black and blue. Her parents took her to the hospital to have it checked out. I am only 5’3″ and weigh 103 pounds. The older girls were alot taller and bigger than I was. I wanted to ask her to leave us freshmen alone but never got the chance. The police came and arrest me at school, They handcuffed me and put me into the police car, and booked me for assault and battery. The school gave me a 4 day suspension and one in day suspension. Nothing happend to the older girl. I have never been in trouble before and now I have a pre trail hearing with the twp prosecutor. I am scared to death. I get good grades, I do alot of community service and am currently a Jr. teen national Queen. This situation got totally out of control and if I could take it back I would . I should have told an adult at school that we were be being bullied n threaten but because of the tauting talk about them having sex I was too embarrassed. My parents are mortified. They signed me up for theraphy to learn to make better decisions in bad situations. What will happen to me? Should my parents get a special lawyer for this pre trial hearing or should we just use a court appointed one. What is a pre-trial hearing and what will happen there.
