I am a 17 year old female from Minnesota. I am not able to handle living at home any longer, I do not know how much more of this mental abuse I can take. My boyfriend (almost 19, from VA) and I would like to be married, but my parents will not give their consent. We would be married here in my county and then I would move in with him in Virginia, his family is very supportive and wants me to get out of this house as well. My parents are very very nice people on the outside, but behind the walls of our house they are manipulative, and very very mentally and emotionally hurtful. Minnesota doesn’t have any specific emancipation laws, but I need help.
