Hi Judge Tom, I am 18 and I was wanting to know the rules of cps. I have looked online so I understand a bit more now. I have two siblings who tell me they are not comfortable with the person who stays with my biological mother. She keeps allowing that person to stay because he provides money. I am very upset on how she has “raised” my siblings my brother comes up to me when I visit he looks really scared and is. My little sister is unhappy. I have stability, I can prove I am able to raise them in a safe clean and healthy environment I can enroll them in a school near by where I live there’s always food in my house. I love my siblings very much and all I’ve been hearing from my little brother is his mother is hitting him. He’s only 4. I have my brother and sister every chance I get since I am currently still in high school. I feel really bad I know what I want to do. But I need help, is it possible for me to provide those things for my siblings? I just want them happy and to feel safe. I’ve tried to talk to my biological mother about her aggressive behavior she was born with fetal alcohol syndrome and she can get extremely bipolar and yell in front of the kids. She has a habit of using explicit language I believe she is very inappropriate in front of the kids. She gets money from the government monthly and still doesn’t seem to have enough food in the house for my brother and sister. I need help. Thank you
