Dear Anon: You are right, it’s very much a personal private decision left up to the woman. That being said, the girl would have to look to the specific laws in her state concerning abortion. Depending on her age, how far long in the pregnancy she is and her state’s laws, she may need parental consent and/or a judge’s approval before having an abortion.
