During the 2012-2013 school session my granddaughter was seriously traumatized physically and emotionally (more than once)-after filing a police report we were told that she may even be held on charges if we continued to press for some type of justice in her favor!!!! WE were shocked at how nothing was done to protect HER even after both events were documented with local law enforcement and witnesses backed up what happened. So as a family we decided to keep her and her brother at home to avoid any more or worse things from happening. And now she is old enough to take a GED (17) and the school board has threatened to put the parents in JAIL!
We need help to get through this. Of course we don’t have money to pay for a lawyer, and my granddaughter is once again threatened by the very system that has vowed to protect her rights to a safe education!!!!
Where can we can we go for help…who is willing to listen and understand how bad it was for them In school…anybody out there?????
