Hello judge tom,
I’m 17 years old and I have custody with my mother. We live in Polk County, FL. I really want to spend the last year with my father, because of problems with my mother. I want to be completely honest, when I was 16 things started getting really stressful so on the occasion I would smoke marijuana then my parents caught me and I quit I was drug tested and it was positive. I really have quit now and I’m trying to prove that I’m clean I’ve completely changed my life around I’m doing a lot better in school and I’ve been seeing a therapist for my problems. My mother doesn’t believe me and keeps unfairly punishing me with out letting me show her through a drug test. She slapped me in the face five times yesterday and said she hates me and that I’m a piece of shit and that I’m stupid. I’m really tired of dealing with so much anxiety at the age of 17. I know I should tough it out but technically this is my last year of high school and I want to be able to enjoy and not have all these depressing thoughts. My dad has gone to court and my mother is in contempt for breaching the custody things. I really can’t deal with this much longer
