I ran away from my verbally abusive home where I lived with my dad. I got caught and was given the option of living with my Nina. But things didn’t get any better there. This is more then just communication Barriers. It’s not something that can be resolved by talking I’ve tried. Anyways, my Nina and dad kicked me out and gave me the option of living with my mom or going into a foster home. I obviously chose to live with my mom. My mom however is on probation and just got out of prison. She isn’t stable. She allowed me to live with my boyfriend but when my boyfriend wasn’t able to give her money, she threatened to call child services because I haven’t been in school. Which isn’t my fault! I even tried to enroll myself at my boyfriends school and now I’m a month behind. My boyfriend doesn’t want me living with my mom because it’s a bad environment. She’s been talking about selling drugs to make money quicker. I don’t want to be around this!! She threatened my boyfriend saying she was gonna try and get him charged with statutory rape when he turn 18 in 2 months. I’m 16 and I need help. Can I legally run away? Can I stay with anther family member without parent consent? I live in California. My boyfriend works and has been taking care of me, we even have a place. But I’m a minor.
