I have 2 roommates and we each signed a separate lease. We have been here less than 2 months and the girls have thrown multiples parties which included underage drinking and random people spending the night. There are also holes in the wall, already. I need out. I have found a girl who wants to take over my lease. However, my roommates said they are not letting someone they don’t know take over my lease. I think this is up to my landlord but I just wanted to make sure. Can my roommates say no? Also, if the new girl decides not to move in, and I still move all of my furniture out, do I legally have to continue splitting utilities with the girls? I would continue to pay the landlord my portion of the rent, but I will not be supporting the party utilities anymore. Is this allowed? Thank you!
