Hey there, nice site with nice info. I had a question. I am 17, living in Alabama. I was put on probation & expelled for posession of marijuana and posession of drug paraphanelia. I was supposed to have 6 months of probation and weekly drug classes, but my probation officer might let me off in one month (only been on for two) as long as I continue my drug classes. Since I was expelled, I am getting my education through online homeschooling and have doubled up taking both my junior and senior year of high school at the same time. I should have my acreditted high school diploma within a month from now. My parents and P.O. have both given me permission and encourage me to get a job (which I have been attempting to, applying at several places (: ) and my parents said that once I complete my high school education and have a steady job with steady income, I have their full permission to move out and into an apartment with my friend (who is 19). I will not be 18 until next October, not that it should matter as I’ve read the age of majority is 19. But, my main question is, if my probation officer does NOT let me off next month, but my parents gave me permission to move out and there is nothing on my guidelines prohibiting that, does that mean I can in fact move out without my P.O. giving me or my family a hard time? If not, I will wait until my probation is over. Thank you!
