this is in the State of NJ – a man was arrested on first degree manslaughter was held on 1,000,000 bail had a bail reduction to 300,000 which he posted. He missed a court date, the court issued a bench warrant and he was arrested. The grad jury indicted him on first degree murder (he killed his 83 day old baby girl) so today he had a hearing and the judge said that his original bail remains the same. I believe because his jump his bail once the judge should have refused bail or at least increased his bail. I’m being told that the bail for the new charge ranges from 250,000 to 750,000 so why wouldn’t the judge increase it? I want to know if I can write the judge and tell him how I fee?
