My friends and I recently got caught shoplifting $400 worth of items at a store. The police were called and told us we were charged for shop lifting and conspiracy (saying we all came in knowing we were going to steal) and possession of a burglary weapon (a magnet used to take off sensors). We’re all 17 but still have to make an appearance in court. I’ve never done anything like this before…I have a clean record. Do you think I’d qualify for a diversion program? I really don’t want this on my record.
