My son is going to be 18 in a week. He is currently dating a girl that is 16 or 17. I’ve recently discovered they are sexting, NO PICTURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN OR SENT! I’ve talked to him about it and his girlfriend is convinced I’m just intruding and it’s legal because she is the age of legal consent. I’m concerned because of their ages that he may get into trouble. I guess my question is, is it legal for them to be sexting?
