a colleague at a sister company told an employee in the other sister company that she could arrange a holiday for them in Amsterdam. The first colleague Joanna practically frog marched the other colleague Niyet to the cash point machine to get £550 out to pay for it. This Friday gone, Joanna said that her husbands grandmother had passed away and now she couldnt go. So Niyet asked for the tickets so she could still go as arranged. Joanna told her that she didnt have any tickets as she deleted all emails as soon as she got them but she would phone the hotel to let them know Niyet would be going without her. She told Niyet that she was on hold all day on the phone to the hotel (she didnt pick the phone up once) and when Niyet asked for her money back. All of a sudden Joanna said that she had got through to the hotel and they could change it all but it would cost another £800. Niyet told Joanna she would not give her any more money and she wanted her money back. Joanna has not paid Niyet back and I do believe that Joanna never booked a holiday. How as a boss should I be handling this and is it fraud?
