You don’t need an attorney for the meeting and you may not need one at all depending on the charges and the deal they are willing to offer your grandson. For instance, he may be offered a diversion program and given the opportunity to avoid a record so long as he completes the terms of the program. You will find out more when you have the meeting and the type of consequences your grandson is facing. If you then feel that you may need an attorney to assist your grandson, you could look into consulting with one. Many attorneys offer a free initial consultation. Good luck.
