Hi.
My name is Debora and I am 15 years old and attending public school. We just recently had a bus driver change and this lady is really mean. She uses an inappropriate vocabulary and comes at a different time every day. Our old bus driver was an old black man, and he was really nice to everyone and was on time every single day and said hi to everyone with a smile. He did absolutely nothing wrong so I don’t know why in the world he would have to leave. I don’t know what happened to him; I don’t know for sure if he got fired or why that would be but I have my doubts that it might have been a bit of a racist decision. I could be wrong, but everyone in our bus wants him to come back. There was nothing we could do until a couple of days ago, the mean lady decided to segregate us. She says something happened on the bus but no one has any idea what it could be. So now guys have to sit on one side and girls on the other. It is extremely unfair because there are so many boys in our bus and so few girls. The boys have to sit 2 per seat while there are like 7 free seats on the other side. I think this is ridiculously unfair and I really think this has to be illegal in some way. Is she allowed to do that? What can I do about it? What if we all sign a petition?
