Dear Caitlynn: If you are charged with this shoplifting and you deny it, the court may appoint a lawyer to represent you. Otherwise, you may be eligible for a “diversion program”

Your juvenile record may not come up in the system due to the time that’s passed and because it occurred in another state. When you go to court in March, the legal process will be explained to you. In the meantime stay out of trouble. Good luck.
