Dear judge Tom

I wanted to thank you for your advice about me shoplifting. It was $24 with tax and like I said no police were involved but I was wondering could they send me to court even thou the LP said he was going to go easy on me since it was my first time shoplifting. I really regret my decision and I keep praying for forgiveness and I really do hope that all I have to do is just pay the fine and put all of this behind me. I have learn my lesson and it was and is not even worth it. I also want to know if I do get sent to court do I say I’m guilty or innocent and should I hire a lawyer. I still haven’t even said anything to my mom yet. I feel disappointed in me and I don’t want her to feel the same way. Like I also said I signed a form that states I’m not allowed in walmart for the next 6 months and that the letter they are going to sent will also sag how much I need to pay them. I was wondering if they could sent me to court even though the police was not involved. I just started a retail job and I don’t want to lose it. This is also my first time getting in trouble with the law and I’m wondering if they run a background check will it come out. The LP said when he took my info it was only for them and no one else. I should I be expecting when the letter comes in.
