My 16 year old was suspended from her (union) job for taking make up that was valued at $15. They called me at work to tell me that that she was suspended. I found out later on that they made her sign a document admitting to what she had done. While I understand that she was in the wrong and has been disciplined for using poor judgement. I can’t help but feel that her rights were violated. Should she have been forced to fill out documents without me or an attorney being present? Please respond.
