Long story short I was charged with possession of Marijuana, got accepted for the Diversion program, but yet my fines are almost 1,500$. I was probably the best arrest the opd has had ( by this I mean everything for them was pretty textbook). I believe my fines are unfair and I’m unsure what I can do about it. I am 19 years old (18 at time of arrest), I work a full time job making 9$ an hour with a paycheck of about 230$ a week. I take 100$ out of every paycheck to put into savings but the numbers just aren’t stacking up quick enough. I realize my mistake but is there anything I can do about the amount of these fines, or any tips that have helped anyone get them out of the way quickly?

p.s. I was not offered a payment plan or anything. I have a court ordered attourney and he has gave me on a scale of 1-10 about a 3 of information that I need to know. I kinda am playing the whole thing by ear but it worries me I’m doing something wrong.
