I am a mother of 2. I have a 3yr old and 1yr old, both are to different men. My son’s father and I separated 2 years ago, I then started seeing my daughters father and we are now engaged. He has been around for 2 years now. He has been absolutely amazing with my son, treating him as if he were his own, buying him anything he wants/needs. He is a very good dad and great fiancĂ©. My son adores him because he plays such a big part in his life. The only problem is that my fiance has 2 minor domestic violences from previous relationships. My family along with my son’s family have known this for a long time now, but have never addressed it until him and I got into an argument the other day, we exchanged some nasty words and made up things about each other without thinking rationally. My parents and sons dad now believes that he abused me in front of my son, which is not the case. They want to file for my son’s dad to get full custody even though I am a fit parent and so is he. I have pictures of them, videos of him interacting with my son on a very loving, father like level. I also have statements from neighbors that have said they do not hear anything going on, and it being an apartment complex, you can hear everything a person does/says. What should I do? Will the photos/videos/documents help my case?
