Judge Tom
If this is your first offense, then you may be offered a diversion program. That means that upon the completion of community service, payment of a fine and attending an educational class or counseling, the charges may be dismissed. Since you haven’t been attending school, the court may want to address that issue as well as it’s common for the probation officer or whoever is overseeing the diversion program to need to see attendance records as well. Finally, look at your court paperwork carefully. It may ask that you appear in court with a parent or guardian. If that is not an option for you, that issue could be discussed. Good luck.
