My mother in law damaged my neighbors mailbox with her car. I went out and got a price for the mailbox replacement and it was 750.00 (Brick Mailbox) However the neighbor in question delayed the ok for me to actually hirer the contractor and now the project would be delayed 2 weeks before this contractor can work on the mailbox. The neighbor delayed responding to me by 4 days. Now the neighbor comes in with his own contractor that wants 1,050.00 for the same job. How much is my mother in law responsible for? My opinion is its 750.00 because I can get it done for that amount.
