My car was parked on a curve, I was inside it. I looked back let two bikes passed and when i thought it was clear a lady came on her scooty from behind in speed and dashed the corner of my door which was less than half open. The door rebounded and closed and the lady fell little far. I helped her took her to a hospital got an x-ray the doctors declared it was just a small hit and she’d be fine. 4 days later she calles me asking for 30,000 rupees for an operation she already went through with insurance claim. I being unable to pay that much amount offered her my best which was 5000 she denied it. I told her to take my cars insurance documents and claim for insurance money she said she didn’t want to go legal after weeks of her harrassment daily one day police came home and took me to the station for questions all of a sudden. I got to know she had filed a case against me long time ago and kept harassing me for money. Is it my fault really ? Will i suffer ? What wrong did i do exactly ? I have a court date and i have no idea what i should do i need some legal advice.
