Okay, so I am having issues with my parents regarding privacy, respect, and religion. My parents force me to go to their church despite my saying several times that I do not believe what the church teaches, that I feel hypocritical going there, and that it actually causes me more depression and anxiety. The other issue is that they give me absolutely NO privacy. I’ve had issues with depression and anxiety before which caused them to take my door off. However, I have been doing a lot better, and a lot of my anxiety at home is actually being caused by not having a door and having a CAMERA constantly pointing into my room. (camera + no door = absolutely no privacy = even more anxiety and less sleep at night). I feel like I am in a prison with how closely I am being watched, and that is causing a lot of fear, anxiety, and depression. I am not doing anything wrong, but I feel under constant pressure because I think they are just watching all the time, waiting for me to screw up. They never let me out of the house (they say it’s because I don’t have a job, but they always bring up my religious beliefs while saying that) and they say if I leave and go somewhere without their permission they will press unruly charges on me and then send me out of state to live with my grandparents (who will also make me go to church). They threatened to press unruly charges on me last night because I wasn’t going to my room to sleep?!? I am 17 and I live in Ohio, what are my rights as a minor regarding these issues?
