My question is I had a dog , and she was outside on her own side of the fence not hurting anyone or anything .all she was doing was running the fence line with the cows, she was only 7 months old the neighbor saw her and drove his 4 Wheeler up in my yard and shot my dog in the head/face killing her dead… On my front porch … She did not hurt his animals an never had we called police and the officer said he would go down and speak with him, officer told him he had to apologize to me and so he gets out of the officers vehicle and looks at me sobbing hysterically and says “I’m sorry I killed your dog… Even tho she didn’t do any harm I just do not like that breed of dog!!!? He offered me to come to his house and pick another dog he wanted to give me a jack Russell terrier and I had a special blood line Pitt bull… What if anything I can do???? Also there are no bans or regulations on Pitt bulls where I live…she had all of her shots up to date collar and tags we put a lot of money into that dog and I think he should pay!!!
