My friend had bought a dog in Nebraska. He moved here to New York with me and left the dog with my parents because he lived with me and I couldn’t have a dog. My parents didn’t want the dog in the house so my brother said “why don’t you give the dog to me?” So my friend did say he could have it. Though no official paperwork was signed over. My friend saw the dog as often as possible which was once a week for a few hours. It was a verbal agreement through text message off my phone that I wrote for him. I have no legal acquaintance with the dog. My brother wants to sue for the dog. Will he win?
