I accidentally gave an envelope containing money, which I didn’t know contained money, to someone who was collecting loosing tickets in a can at an event. She threw the money envelope along with the loosing tickets in the garbage. The person noticed the money missing 5 days later. Too late., garabage was picked up. Am I responsible to replace the money that was thrown out?
