I have a court date coming up for a first time offense misdeameanor charge. I have hired a lawyer but I’m just curios of what the outcomes are for consequences. I live in California and I’m not sure how the system works with all this, because I’ve never been in trouble before ! Is the likely hood of me getting diversion or something less than jail time more of a possibility for being a first time offense and not a felony charge ? I’m just terrified !
