I was convicted of child pornography possession at 17 (files last viewed at 14). The record expunged at 22. However, I just applied for criminal history clearance for a job (not teaching) at a public school. It is actually a PR internship. When I applied for clearance, the reply was “under review.” Why would this be if I don’t have any other convictions and I received court notice that my records were expunged?.
