My son walked with his friends on two occasions to a neighborhood, and his friends proceeded to ‘Ding Dong Ditch’ a house. Although they tried to pressure him into involvement, he refused to go on the property or be involved. Cameras caught pics of his friends; but my son is being implicated in the complaint with the regional police department stating that he is ‘just as guilty because he was there and he is an accomplice’. He essentially stood on the street and watched. He did not report the incident to authorities.
Is he guilty of any crime? We are actually proud of his restraint and not collapsing in to peer pressure. Does this then mean that if a teenager is at a party where certain kids are drinking illegally, that ALL are guilty because they were there?
