AsktheJudge.info FAQs
What exactly is AsktheJudge.info?
AsktheJudge is a free educational and interactive website for teens about their rights and the laws that affect them. The site is also for parents and teachers as we often receive questions from these groups about issues that arise at school, home, etc. In addition to answering your questions and providing a platform to discuss important youth rights issues with the founder of the site Judge Tom and your peers in the teen chat room, we frequently update the site with news, court decisions, pending cases and more about all matters affecting today’s youth from sexting and cyberbullying to free speech rights at school, cell phone privacy and juvenile delinquency issues.
Who’s behind AsktheJudge.info?
Judge Tom is the creator and founder of the site. He is a retired juvenile court judge, author of numerous books for lawyers and judges as well as teens and parents and is super up on all juvenile law and rights issues. He is the most nonjudgmental judge you’ll ever come across and you can ask him anything! Believe us, he’s heard it all, so don’t be embarrassed or intimidated. Judge Tom’s daughter and attorney, Natalie, helps run the site and several interns have contributed to the site’s content and awesomeness.
How does it work?
Simple. You can ask your question or make a comment at the bottom of any blog post or through the contact the judge page or by posting it in the teen chat room. We only answer questions from teens or about teen related legal matters. Please feel free to share your experiences with other users or let us know how you feel about an issue. Don’t worry, you can remain anonymous when asking your question or making a comment. Questions are answered within 24 hours and remember, we can’t give legal advice, but we will provide free legal information and try to refer you to helpful resources when possible. For possible resources in your area, please check out our Resource Directory.
How much does it cost?
