so I went to Winco grocery store and I was with my parents , were in financial trouble so I didn’t want to ask them for something , and I didn’t have any cash on me at the time , I had a job interview 2days away and my lips were really chapped so I decided to steal chapstick , and as I walked out loss prevention stopped me and asked for the chapstick. I had to sign two papers , one to pay the fine and stay away from there for 100years And they let me go after that. Now I got a restitution fee of $250 and I have no job to pay it and I definitely don’t want it on my record . What should I do? Not pay it ?and wait to see what happens? Then there’s a chance they could sue me. And ill have to pay more . And if I go to court I don’t want to plea guilty and get a record . I’m lost on what to do and I’m stressing . I know I made a mistake should I “Differ” I think that’s what it’s called. Not innocent nor guilty. I’m a call the store and ask if I can clean the restrooms or parking lot as a restitution. Please reply back I need you
