How long do you have after trespassing has occurred to file charges. I have a former business partner who had entered a property after it was no longer his. Was upset but never filed charges at the time. Now a year and a half later he has opened a lawsuit for other matters and would like to file trespassing on him. CRS states 3 years is statute of limitations so was thinking I could still file but have heard otherwise
