UMOM accepts households including two-parent families, teenage boys (age 12 and older), single fathers with children, legal guardians and non-traditional heads of households (i.e. grandparents), and those trying to overcome substance abuse.
The Teen Activity Program (TAP) provides free afterschool activities for all UMOM residents ages 11-17. Our Youth Services staff oversees TAP activities on campus every day of the week. Through their attendance in TAP, teens can earn incentives and rewards such as gift cards, campus privileges, and field trip attendance.

Step Up Mentoring
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff Step Up MentoringStep Up Mentoring connects local teens to positive resources in their community with the help of appropriate adult mentors. Weekly group mentoring sessions (on and off-site) explore teens’ interests and provide a variety of unique opportunities for success. All teen participants have had some involvement with the Juvenile Justice System and this program is an opportunity for them to engage in healthy alternatives to various high risk behaviors. Activities on and off-site include visits from guest speakers, field trips, job shadowing, sports and outdoor recreation, as well as other possibilities.
