Hi, I am going through a lot of family issues. I need help on what I could do to help my situation. My mom has always been abusive and her husband was also abusive to her. He was also a pervert. I had a cps case where I reported that my step-dad would try to do sexual things with me and that my mom was abusive. Nothing ever happened I just had to take counciling. So a year later my mom was getting investigated for welfare fraud and Cps got involved for the kids sake and she was never charger because they didn’t look bake far enough. So now my mom threatened to hit me and I recorded her yelling and cussing at me. So I had a friend come and get me and my mom said she was going to call the police for me running away. She never called the police that night but my grandparents came to my friends house to make sure I was okay. The next day my mom came with a police officer to remove me from the house and I would not go. Cps came and interviewed my mom and I. They made me go to my grandparents because I refused to go to my moms and my mom would not allow me to stay with my friends. My mom filed a “disobedient child” report on me. How does that work? I’ve never been a bad child, I have good grades, I follow all rules and I’ve never been in any kind of serious trouble let alone big trouble at home. I am currently staying with my grandparents until cps tells me where I have to go. Can I fight the disobedient charge? How can I do something so that I don’t have to live with my mom in fear?
