Hi I’m 16 years old. Will be 17 in may. My baby father is 31, if my mom didn’t press charges on him and says that she don’t want to, then can he still go to jail for statutory rape if I want him to sign the birth certificate for our 7 month year old son. Or if I file for child support . also, I want to get married . and move out soon. Do I need a good reason to move out of my mom house. I just don’t like how she’s controlling and want to make the choices as far as when it comes to my son. I feel as though I’m his mom and I make those decisions. And she doesn’t want my son to see his dad but I’m going to let him see his dad no matter what she says . I need help on what to do. I’m in the state of Virginia . his dad is in new Jersey.
