Dear Anon: First, you need to find out the age of consent law in your state – the legal age when you can consent to sex. If no one reports your baby’s father to the police, then he most likely will not face charges. Whether or not someone else reports him is up to the rules/policies of the agency who finds out about the age difference. As for moving out, you are not emancipated just because you have a baby. That means that your Mom is still legally responsible for you. If you leave against her wishes and she reports you to the police, you could be picked up for being a runaway. Try talking to her about how you feel and maybe the two of you can reach an agreement about the rules of the house while giving you some freedom to raise your son as you see fit.
