My Moms car blew up in my attached garage and destroyed my home and everything in it. I filed a home fire insurance claim and requested to file a claim against the cars liability insurance but the claims officer said I could not do that. I live in Illinois, is the claims officer correct.

I have proof that the restoration business I hired took 4 months and 11 days to pack out my house, 5 months and 9 days to start cleaning the items they packed out and 7 months and 3 days before they started to mitigate the smoke, soot and water damage in my house. I have proof the the contractor and the restoration business both charged for doing the same things and not doing other things they charged for. The contractor also turned in the first approved repair budget to the ins. Repair escrow manager for payment of the work on the repair budget, but they had not started or finished 80% of the work on the budget. I requested that the contractor provide me an accounting and invoices for the money he took, but he ignored my emails for months then he refused to provide anything. I am disabled and live on $645 a month, so it is impossible to find a lawyer who specializes in these type of cases and would either take my case pro-Bono plus $1000 to pay for expenses or take payment once the case is won and $1000 up front. I need a lawyer, can you help me find one, everything I have tried has not helped, including Lincoln Land Legal services, Illinois Bar association and other legal associations.

Thank you for your time and any help you can provide, Bonnie Teater
