New York does have a sexting law that applies to minors. You can click here to read more about it. Since you’re now 18, it’s unlikely that you would face consequences for the act, but ultimately it would depend on the statute of limitations or time limits the state has to file charges for certain offenses. You could try Googling “NY sexting law statute of limitations” for the specific time limits in your state. Finally, the police/prosecutor’s office would have to decide whether or not to conduct an investigation into this matter. Depending on the possible charges the perpetrator faces, he/she could be extradited or brought back to NY to face criminal charges. The police would be able to tell you more about this. Good luck.
