I have a 21 year old young man living with me that just found out he can’t renew his driver’s license due to truancy charges from when his mother kept him out of school when he was 10. The court clerk told him the charges were originally his mother’s but now that he is “of age” they are on his record and he must pay about $1,000 in fines. Does this sound appropriate? We live in TX. Thanks.
