So I have a question im seeking emancipation and my parents aren’t going to agree, my aunt is by my side on this and I will be staying there and im going to be buying her car from her and paying my phone bill and whatever I need so I can support myself, my question is, my reason for wanting to leave is many combined I do want to be on my own, for my sister was at 16 and so was my mother but she has said mean things to me that hurt me emotionally and mentally which is being verbally abusive and also she has put her hands on me in the past and my aunt can back all of this up she also has fought my sister at my age as well. I can prove all of this in front of a judge and the things she has done. I don’t want to be anything like her and I know she’s going to try to fight against my emancipation but would I still have a good chance with it going through? I currently live in kansas.
