I am 17 years old (will be 18 in September) and am expecting my first child. I have not been living at home with my mother for 11 months and am not welcome back in my current situation. I currently live in Northern California. I am graduating from high school this week with my diploma and my family members in Georgia have offered for me to come out and stay with them for the duration of my pregnancy and while/after I deliver. I currently have medical assistance with the state of CA. Do I have to have my mother’s permission to leave the state? What if any legal proceedings to I need to be aware of that my prevent me from moving to GA and receiving and establishing state assistance there? Thank you.
