I’m turning 17 in a month. I live in the state of Kansas and I’m currently kicked out of my home, well for some reason my mother is trying to say where I can and cannot stay. Well she’s physically and verbally abusive and I was going to go to New Jersey where my boyfriend currently lives, and he’s 19. I would be staying at his house with his family and it’s a very safe environment. I’m not sure what my parents would do if they found out I was there but if they reported me as a runaway and if the cops came to me and I told them what was happening would they let me stay? And no one forced me to go to jersey, I will be going on my own and I’m technically already a runaway because she kicked me out. I’m just not sure what could happen legally, and on top of things I think I may be pregnant so I would definitely want to stay there because he’s the father of our child, do you know if a pregnant teen goes to the court to try to get married would they allow it without a parent? Considering I would be pregnant.
