I recently purchased items (at regular price) and found some items and put sale price stickers on them, I was told by the security guy that I would be fined a certain amount by the company within 3-4 weeks. and the police man said it was a 3rd degree theft offense. I have not done anything like this in a very long time I am ashamed and humiliated by all this. when all was said and done, the police man and the security guy gave me papers with info, I asked them if I could go ahead and purchase the items I tried to sneak a sale price in and just purchase them at full price because my concious bothered me…
My question to you, is what will happen to me in court? I have a job, a senior mom that reequires my help from time to time and a fur baby that relies only on me. (cat). Any of your advice will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
