I have a felony that has been dismissed. I received official court document that says ” nolle prossed”. Does that mean my felony case was dismissed and its not a conviction? Im in the process of expunging it. Ive already eligible for it…have already sent in the required paperwork? Im pursuing a career in the nursing field? Will this affect my chances? Im currently working as a cna and i want to work in other areas in my field but im afraid this will keep me from doing it? This is my first time being arrested and it wasnt my fault. I went through a pretrial intervention for a year and did volunteer work at the salvation army. The case says nolle prossed and im now getting it expunged. Am i taking the correct steps? I want this part of my life to be vanished and destroyed so i can have financial freedom in my chosen career field. I will feel really sad if im going to school for nothing to only be rejected because of this little mark that i so desperately want to get rid of. Much advice will be welcomed. Thank you
