Judge Tom
Your mother cannot just take your baby from you. You, as the mother of your baby, have legal rights. If she took the matter to court and wanted custody of your child, the judge would have to decide what are the “best interests” of the child. We suggest talking to a trusted adult about this whether it’s your grandma, a teacher or school counselor. Also, check out this site for about your legal rights as a teen mom. Good luck and stay healthy. (Check our Teen Help Network for more help and resources in your area. This is information only – not legal advice.)
