Attorney made a mistake and included an option to purchase clause in our commercial lease. There is no separate consideration for this option, but we still are afraid it might become a problem later. Tenant refuses to sign an amendment and we do not want to sell our property in the future. Attorney has offered to testify to her mistake in court to try and have this clause stricken, do you have any advice? This is under virginia law.
