I stole something that was a little over $50 at a store and was caught . The security of the store told me that they would mail me a letter with the price of the item and said i would have to pay for the exact item price over the mail.
I got the mail today, but it is asking for $375 when the store security and the person who took my information told me and my parents that i only needed to pay the $50 something dollars.
What should i do and why does it say i have to pay so much more?
