My husband is a heroin addict. After 2.5 years of trying to get him well I have decided to throw in the towel for the sake of our 19 month old baby and myself. He went to treatment after I begged him to go. I told him if he wanted a relationship with his daughter, he needed treatment, no ands, ifs or buts. He went for a little shy of 3 weeks and checked out without the approval from the doctors. He showed up at my home 2 days later at 3am, scared me half to death. He begged me to let him stay there until the sober living house he applied for had an opening, max 3 nights (i don’t even know if thats true). I let him stay, but then I left because I felt very nervous having him there. I have documented evidence that he has been in contact with drug dealer and other addicts, trying to score drugs since he left treatment. I cant bring my child around him, he is very angry with me because I told him our marriage is over and I have filed for divorce. I’m staying with my parents until he leaves my home (my parents own my home too). He is claiming he will call the police on me for kidnapping our daughter because I am keeping her away from him, CAN HE REALLY DO THAT? He knows where I am, i am a good mom, I dont do drugs or drink. I just dont feel safe taking her to see him. I know he’s a drug addict, and his words often mean nothing, but I dont want to deal with a cop showing at my parents house because he said I kidnapped her. Thank you for your time,
