My son’s friend shoplifted at Home depot. My son was in the car and NOT in the store. The friend drove away and was pulled over by the police. Both the friend and my son were taken to the police department and cited. My son is 22 years old and failed to appear in court last month for this Criminal ticket, and hence there is now a warrant out for his arrest for failure to appear. Both my son and I will be going to the court on Monday. We would like to know if it’s possible for the charge to be dropped since he was NOT the one who shoplifted, it was his friend? My son was in the car and did NOT know his friend was shoplifting. I believe the item was $300 value in the State of AZ.
